Sean Bukowski founded the Bukowski Law Firm in early 2010. Mr. Bukowski's goal was to create a vibrant, dedicated law firm that would advise commercial property owners and operators from acquisition to disposition so they can run their business.
Prior to forming the Bukowski Law Firm, Sean Bukowski was general counsel for a commercial property owner and management company. He has also been a founding partner of Bukowski & Upchurch, LP. Before that, Mr. Bukowski worked in both the New York and Houston offices of Vinson & Elkins, LLP. He worked in all areas of litigation, including corporate and securities, eminent domain, mass tort and bankruptcy.
Mr. Bukowski is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Vanderbilt Law School. He is a rabid University of Michigan sports fan who moved to Austin in 2011.
Kate Schlinke is an associate at the Bukowski Law Firm. She focuses on a wide variety of commercial real estate matters, as well as assisting clients with corporate and business issues.
Prior to joining the Firm, Kate was an attorney and escrow officer in Dallas, Texas. Kate received her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she continued to work full-time as a paralegal while attending the school’s evening part-time program. While in law school, she served as a Case Note and Comment Editor for the International Law Review Association, and co-authored a number of continuing education papers.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys exploring Austin, going to live shows, and teaching her dog, Charlie, new tricks.
Stephanie Ward is the Operations Manager at Bukowski Law Firm. She graduated in 2011 from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Management. While studying at U of H, she put herself through school by working full time at Brice Barclay in its accounting department.
Since coming to Bukowski Law Firm, Stephanie has been responsible for all non-legal activities in the Firm. This includes, but is not limited to, human resources, finance and accounting, IT, investments, etc. She manages all the daily activities of the Firm, allowing the Firm to continue to focus on providing high quality legal work to its clients.
Stephanie has lived in Austin since 2011 - her second tour of duty in Austin (she previously lived here from 2001-2003). She loves the outdoors and live music - making Austin the perfect home.
Kimberly McMichael is a Paralegal at Bukowski Law Firm. She graduated from Austin Community College with an Associate’s of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. She was chosen to attend the University of Texas Law summer law program, Explore Law. Kim hails from east Texas and has lived in Austin since 2011. In her time off she enjoys painting, going to music festivals and spending time with her two calicos Xena and Zelda.
Steve is the Chief Morale Officer at Bukowski Law Firm. He has been with the Firm since 2013. He likes to spend his time boosting morale by finding a place to sleep on the office floor and staring at you until you reward him. He knows his efforts greatly improve the overall office mood.
Steve is not motivated by money. Just treats. And scratches. He enjoys napping, breakfast tacos, and keeping the office rodent free.
He is a diehard Michigan sports fan, as you can tell from his supportive collar. He hopes to one day see the Big House in Ann Arbor – but until that day, he roots on from afar.
